Module 4: Introduction to Safeguarding

Welcome to the fourth and final module of the course Safeguarding in Conservation.

By the end of this module you should be able to:
– Identify where your organisation/team is on your safeguarding journey
– Decide what actions are necessary to strengthen safeguarding in your area of responsibility
– If you have responsibility for one area of your organisation e.g. programmes, you will find it useful to think about what measures are required for that area of the organisation to be ‘safe’.

You should complete Modules 1 to 3 before undertaking Module 4, unless you are already knowledgeable on safeguarding. This module does not go into depth on what is meant by safeguarding or organisational responsibilities for prevention, reporting and response which are covered by Modules 1 to 3.
