WildTeam conservation training

We provide regular online training in the following topics:
Project Management for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to manage a conservation project from start to finish. Project management is a fundamental skill that all conservationists need to help manage their work effectively. For that reason it is one of the most sought after skills that conservation employers are looking for. So you need this skill when you first start looking for a conservation job. Then, as you progress your career, you will need this skill more and more to stay on top of your increasingly complex work. For anyone who feels like their conservation work is out of control – take this course!

Project Planning for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to develop an impact-focused, evidence-based conservation strategy. This is a truly transformative skill because being able to create a strong conservation strategy will totally change how you do conservation in a way that benefits the wildlife you care about, the team you work in, and your own sense of personal achievement. That is why this course is WildTeam’s favourite.

Stakeholder Engagement for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to engage stakeholders in an effective and ethical way. For nearly any conservation project, you and your team will work with other individuals and groups outside your organisation, e.g. donors, government officials, and local communities. Your ability to achieve a measurable conservation impact will often be dependent on how well you engage these stakeholders, so there is no room for getting it wrong. We would, therefore, recommend this training course to anyone who is currently managing, or planning on managing, a conservation project.

Monitoring and Evaluation for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to assess and report on the success of your conservation project, in terms of the impact achieved. Monitoring and evaluation is essential for learning if what you are doing is effective, and for reporting to important stakeholders like donors, stakeholders, and governments. We would recommend this course for any conservationist aspiring to be in or already in a management or research role.

Grant Writing for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to develop a compelling grant application that gives you the best possible chance of raising the funds you need to support your conservation work. The need for raising funds is such an essential skill that it is frequently highlighted in conservation job adds. Likewise, your ability to raise conservation funds may also have a huge influence on your conservation career. The more funds you can raise the more impact you can achieve and the more senior you can become. We would recommend this course to nearly all conservationists, unless they are wanting to a very specific role (e.g. finance or communications) that does not require raising funds through grants.
