Vava’u Environmental Protection Association

Vava'u Environmental Protection Association (VEPA) is based in Vava'u, kingdom of Tonga and focuses on conservation of biodiversity through community programs, knowledge exchange platforms and supporting national development. VEPA was formed in 2009 by 7 residents in Vava'u and covers programs from waste management to marine spatial planning, the office and projects are managed by a team of 6 women.
