Bios Cabo Verde

BIOS is a local Association created in late 2012 (BO Nº 7/2013 of February, Series II) established in Boa Vista island. Our main goal is to promote the environmental conservation and sustainable development of Cabo Verde. Our projects focus on research, environmental conservation (habitats and species) and the sustainable development of local communities. Moreover, the majority of our conservation activities are carried out within protected areas boundaries (coastal ecosystems and wetlands). Furthermore, we are actively involved in the development and implementation of good practices guidelines for turtles, whales, birds and snorkeling touristic activities. In addition, we promote educational and awareness raising activities as well as cultural initiatives aimed at local people and tourists.
