Then, as you progress your career, you will need this skill more and more to stay on top of your increasingly complex work. For anyone who feels like their conservation work is out of control – take this course!

Project Planning for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to develop an impact-focused, evidence-based conservation strategy. This is a truly transformative skill because being able to create a strong conservation strategy will totally change how you do conservation in a way that benefits the wildlife you care about, the team you work in, and your own sense of personal achievement. That is why this course is WildTeam’s favourite.

Stakeholder Engagement for Wildlife Conservation: In this course you will learn how to engage stakeholders in an effective and ethical way. For nearly any conservation project, you and your team will work with other individuals and groups outside your organisation, e.g. donors, government officials, and local communities. The need for raising funds is such an essential skill that it is frequently highlighted in conservation job adds. Likewise, your ability to raise conservation funds may also have a huge influence on your conservation career. The more funds you can raise the more impact you can achieve and the more senior you can become. We would recommend this course to nearly all conservationists, unless they are wanting to a very specific role (e.g. finance or communications) that does not require raising funds through grants.
